Job summary

MAXIMUS, based in the United States, seeks an experienced data professional to analyze operational data and deliver actionable insights for stakeholders and partners. You will lead data usage across projects, guide performance improvements, and implement new KPIs using SQL Server, Databricks, PySpark, and Power BI.

The role requires strong Python/R skills, experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, and the ability to translate mission needs into data-driven outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong quantitative focus.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Proficiency in SQL Server/T-SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on Databricks and Apache Spark experience, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational Python or R for analysis and ML workflows.
• Experience building Power BI reports and semantic models.
• Familiarity with Power Apps/Power Automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy analytics to derive actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Serve as data/analytical lead across projects and guide solutions.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for scalable processing.
• Create dashboards and analyses using Power BI and DAX.
• Prepare data from multiple sources for reporting and decisions.
• Document data sources, transformations, and methodologies.
