Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking an experienced data analytics professional to analyze operational data and derive actionable insights for stakeholders and partners. You will guide partners on product performance, develop KPIs, and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks.

You will work with Python or R for analysis, create Power BI dashboards, and apply ML methods for readiness and forecasting. Strong communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience in quantitative science or related discipline.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL.
• Databricks and Apache Spark experience, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational programming in Python or R.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT and data modeling basics.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.
• Clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data.
• Serve as data analytics contact across multiple projects.
• Analyze data, identify trends, provide insights.
• Create new metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs.
• Code to segment populations from large datasets.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts.
• Develop ad hoc tools for analytics areas.
• Learn emerging technologies for company initiatives.
• Support team communication and strategy implementation.
• Lead project management activities.
• Prepare data from multiple sources for reporting and readiness analytics.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks.
• Maintain curated, quality datasets with traceability.
• Optimize data processing performance and scheduling.
• Apply data mining and ML for forecasts and insights.
