Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a data analytics professional to develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data and deliver actionable insights for stakeholders. You will serve as the data usage lead across projects, guiding partners on product performance and readiness initiatives.

Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL Server and Databricks, creating Power BI dashboards, and applying ML techniques to inform military missions and readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL (queries, joins, indexing, relational schemas).
• Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark (preferably PySpark).
• Foundational programming skills in Python or R for analysis.
• Understanding ETL/ELT, data modeling, data quality checks, reproducible pipelines, and version control.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI (reports, datasets, semantic models, DAX).
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow integration.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and translate mission needs into data requirements.

• Analyze operational data and derive actionable insights for stakeholders and business partners.

• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks (Spark/PySpark).
• Create dashboards and analytical products using Power BI with semantic models and measures.
• Acquire, integrate, and prepare data from multiple sources for reporting and decision support.
• Document data sources, transformations, and analytical methodologies.
• Support low-code solutions by integrating data products into Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning to generate forecasts and insights for missions.
