Job summary

Maximus in the United States is seeking a senior data analytics professional to develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data and derive actionable insights for stakeholders and business development partners.

You will build ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks, create dashboards in Power BI, and apply ML techniques to support readiness and mission-critical analyses across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL including querying, joins, indexing basics, and relational schemas.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational programming skills in Python or R for analysis, data manipulation, and ML workflows.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling basics, data quality checks, reproducible pipelines, and version control.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI, including reports, datasets/semantic models, and DAX fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow integration.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models, including typical use cases and data requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and translate mission needs into data requirements and analytical outputs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to derive actionable insights.
• Serve as point of contact for data analytics across projects and guide on performance and improvement options.
• Analyze extracted data, identify trends and provide insights around operations and project data.
• Develop and implement new metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts for projects.
• ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks for scalable processing.
• Develop datasets with attention to quality, lineage, and repeatability.
• Apply ML techniques to generate forecasts and readiness analytics.
• Create Power BI dashboards and semantic models for consistent reporting.
• Support Power Apps and Power Automate integrations.
• Prepare unstructured data for text and language-focused use cases.
• Demonstrate familiarity with LLMs and assist in implementing capabilities.
