Job summary

bioMerieux seeks a National Field System Engineer to provide on-site installation, preventive and corrective maintenance for customers across the United States, using appropriate tools and test equipment.

The role requires performing installations, troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, building strong customer relationships, planning service itineraries, and traveling regularly—up to 80% within the US. You will document service activities and support cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related discipline or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Installations, preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, field actions, and equipment removals.
• Troubleshoot and repair instruments using electro-mechanical and computer skills to board or subassembly level.
• Travel regularly to support customer needs, including overnight and national travel.
• Complete service documentation, quality checklists, training requirements, calendars, and expense reports on time.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and achieve performance objectives.
