Job summary

Serif Biomedicines, Cambridge, MA, seeks an experienced Associate Scientist to drive bio-analytical assays for a novel DNA platform. You will work with in vitro and in vivo assays, applying scientific rigor and curiosity to advance nucleic acid therapeutics in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

You will execute and analyze bioassays for efficacy, safety, and biodistribution in rodents and NHPs, develop ligand-binding assays, and communicate findings clearly while collaborating across

Qualifications

• Masters or BS in relevant discipline with 6+ years of industry experience.
• Deep expertise in ex-vivo analytical assays such as ELISA, MSD, qPCR, ddPCR.
• Hands-on experience with multi-parameter flow-cytometry and panel design.
• Experience with transfection methods in human and NHP PBMCs preferred.
• Proficiency in processing tissues and isolating cells from mice and NHPs.
• Experience with nucleic acid therapeutics or LNPs is a plus.
• Histological techniques (IHC/IF, ISH, H&E) knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute and analyze bioassays to assess efficacy, safety and biodistribution in rodents and NHPs.
• Contribute scientific perspectives to advance platform development.
• Develop and optimize ligand-binding assays for in-house and CRO studies.
• Communicate experimental findings effectively in oral, written, and visual formats.
• Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
