Job summary

RRD is seeking a Bindery Operator 1 (Folder, Kluge, and/or UV operator) for 1st shift in Timonium, MD. This full-time role requires setting up and operating bindery equipment to produce finished books, catalogs, and manuals.

You will monitor quality, adjust machines, and direct a crew to sustain productivity and safety standards. Compensation ranges from $18.48 to $26.93 per hour, with potential overtime and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Experience operating bindery equipment and finishing units.
• Ability to read job orders and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Comfort with hand tools and machine adjustments.
• Willingness to work 1st shift and full-time.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of bindery machines and finishing equipment.
• May set up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions and stations.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• May operate adhesive binding machines and complete projects end-to-end.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Direct crew through production; monitor quality and productivity.
• Apply knowledge of paper weights and dimensions to ensure accuracy.
