Qualifications
Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds, and colors.
Basic mathematics skills for understanding dimensional requirements.
Proficiency with standard and specialized tools for machine accuracy.
Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret written work instructions.
Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment.
Working knowledge of equipment setup and adjustment for printed materials.
Ability to direct crew and manage production tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, and operate various auxiliary binding machines.
May set up automatic bindery machines for finished products.
Inspect equipment for safety issues.
Operate automatic adhesive binding machines.
Make necessary adjustments for multiple work stations.
Direct crew through production aspects.
Monitor quality, output, and productivity.
