• Basic mathematics skills for understanding dimensional requirements.
• Proficiency with standard and specialized tools for machine accuracy.
• Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret written work instructions.
• Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment.
• Working knowledge of equipment setup and adjustment for printed materials.
• Ability to direct crew and manage production tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate various auxiliary binding machines.
• May set up automatic bindery machines for finished products.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate automatic adhesive binding machines.
• Make necessary adjustments for multiple work stations.
• Direct crew through production aspects.
• Monitor quality, output, and productivity.
