Job summary

RRD is seeking skilled bindery professionals for 1st shift in Saint Charles, MO. You will set up, adjust, and operate a range of bindery equipment to produce books, catalogs, and magazines.

You will inspect safety, coordinate stations, monitor quality, and supervise crew during production. 1st shift hours W-M with rotating schedules; pay ranges from $18.69 to $27.60 per hour plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) with match, and more.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors to identify paper conditions.
• Basic mathematics to understand dimensional requirements and to make more complicated adjustments.
• Ability to use the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using handtools and specialized tools.
• Ability to read and interpret written work orders to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines.
• Understanding setup, adjustment, capabilities and limitations of folding, collating, and cutting equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate binding machines and related equipment.
• Set up automatic bindery machines to produce final books, catalogs, or magazines.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate perfect binders with multiple stations and functions.
• Coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Direct crew through production processes.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Train other employees as assigned
