Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a bindery operator to set up, adjust and run a range of finishing equipment, including inkjet and mailing devices, folders, cutters and binding lines. You will oversee multiple stations, monitor quality and productivity, and guide the crew through production runs.

Candidates should be comfortable with different paper weights and sizes, perform basic arithmetic for tolerances, and read job orders.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate bindery machines and adjust settings for different runs.
• Basic mathematics to interpret measurements and tolerances in job orders.
• Ability to read and interpret written work orders for production.
• Familiarity with operating procedures for bindery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate bindery and finishing equipment (folders, cutters, binders, inkjet devices).
• Inspect equipment for safety and monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Direct crew through production and train others as needed.
