Job summary

RRD in St. Charles, IL is seeking a Bindery Technician for 1st shift to set up and operate a range of binding and finishing equipment, transforming printed sheets into final books and catalogs.

You will inspect equipment, adjust multiple workstations, supervise crew, monitor quality and productivity, and train others in lean methods and new processes. The role requires standing all day and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Compute distances, clearances, and fits for combining machines.
• Knowledge of bindery machines and setup procedures.
• Experience with fully automatic bindery machines and multi-station equipment.
• Must understand English and be able to stand all day.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various binding machines and attachments.
• Operate multic_function automated bindery lines and related equipment.
• Inspect equipment for safety and performance.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple workstations.
• Direct crew through production and workflows.
• Monitor quality, output, and productivity.
• Train others in new processes and lean methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
