B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Coordinator - Plumbing in Florida to lead the development and coordination of model-based outputs for MEP systems.

You will work closely with Project Management, Field Operations, and trades to drive coordination, resolve conflicts, and ensure implementable, constructible models throughout the project lifecycle. The role emphasizes mentorship of Detailers and Trainees, adherence to company standards, and proactive workflow improvements to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree/technical training in drafting, BIM, engineering tech, or construction preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years in BIM/VDC, mechanical detailing, or MEP coordination.
• Experience producing coordinated mechanical models and construction-ready deliverables.
• Experience on commercial/industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for mechanical systems per standards.
• Lead model updates based on coordination meetings and design changes.
• Perform clash detection and communicate conflicts to teams.
• Ensure model structure, file organization, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as primary VDC contact for project scopes and provide updates to PMs and trades.
• Coordinate with teams to align model deliverables with milestones and installation plans.
• Prepare fabrication-ready deliverables including spools, shop drawings, and hanger layouts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Detailers and Trainees.
