M. J. Electric is seeking a BIM/VDC Lead in the United States to bridge design intent and field execution.

You will translate drawings and models into standardized documents for installation teams, coordinating with project teams, detailers, and foremen throughout design reviews, clash resolution, and field implementation. The role emphasizes 3D modeling in Revit, clash detection, marking up with Bluebeam, and establishing repeatable BIM processes that support scheduling and prefabrication.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Bluebeam Revu, Revit and Navisworks for BIM coordination and model management.
• Strong NEC code knowledge and ability to translate designs into field-ready plans.
• Demonstrated communication and collaboration with design, engineering and field teams.
• Advanced Excel skills for data management and takeoff planning.
• Scripting or programming experience (Dynamo) for BIM automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design intent with field execution and detailers to ensure constructability.
• Manage 3D BIM models and perform clash resolution to reduce field errors.
• Develop standardized markups and tooling for shop drawings and prefabrication.
• Support scheduling, takeoff data export, and pre-fabrication planning.
• Train foremen and field teams on BIM deliverables and reading coordinated drawings.
• Evaluate new BIM tools and workflows to improve department efficiency.
