M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a skilled BIM/VDC Lead to bridge design intent and field execution. This role translates drawings and models into clear, standardized documentation for installation crews while coordinating with project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in BIM/VDC coordination, electrical knowledge, and proficiency in Revit/Bluebeam/Navisworks, with a strong focus on accuracy and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Design-to-Field coordination across design and field teams.
• 3D BIM coordination and clash resolution in Revit models.
• Mark-up standardization for shop drawings and prefabrication.
• Data export for estimating, takeoff, and prefabrication planning.
• Training field teams on BIM/VDC deliverables and standards.

Responsibilities

• Review design documents, specs, and coordination models for constructability and NEC compliance.
• Manage 3D Revit models and conduct clash detection to minimize field errors.
• Develop standardized Bluebeam Revu mark-ups for field use.
• Export and manipulate data to support takeoff and planning.
• Train foremen and field teams on BIM deliverables and mark-up standards.
• Stay current on BIM/VDC tools and suggest workflow improvements.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
