M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a BIM/VDC Lead who will bridge design intent and field execution. You will translate drawings and 3D models into clear documentation for installation crews, coordinating with project teams and foremen across all phases of the project.

The role emphasizes proficiency in BIM tools, NEC knowledge, and strong communication skills to ensure constructability and on-time delivery. On-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in BIM/VDC coordination or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction processes and NEC code requirements.
• Experience coordinating design, engineering, and field teams.
• Ability to train foremen and field teams on BIM/VDC deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Design-to-field coordination: review design documents for constructability and NEC compliance, coordinate resolution with engineers and foremen.
• Modeling and clash resolution: manage 3D Revit models and perform clash analyses to minimize field errors.
• Mark-up standardization: develop standardized mark-up procedures and toolsets for shop drawings.
• Scheduling and takeoff support: export and manipulate data for estimating and prefabrication planning.
• Training and support: train field teams on BIM/VDC deliverables and mark-up standards.
• Technology evaluation: stay current on BIM/VDC tools and recommend improvements.
