M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a BIM/VDC Lead in Illinois to bridge design intent and field execution. You will translate drawings and 3D models into standardized documentation for installation teams, coordinating with designers, engineers, and foremen throughout project lifecycles.

The role emphasizes modeling, clash resolution, and mark‑up standardization, with training responsibility for foremen and field crews, plus ongoing evaluation of BIM tools and workflows.

Qualifications

• Progressive BIM/VDC coordination experience, electrical detailing, or field leadership.
• Strong proficiency with 3D coordination models and clash resolution.
• Experience with NEC code implications in design-to-field workflows.
• Proven ability to train field teams on BIM deliverables and mark-up standards.

Responsibilities

• Review design documents and coordination models for constructability and NEC compliance.
• Manage detailed 3D Revit models and conduct clash detection.
• Develop standardized mark‑up procedures and toolsets for field use.
• Export and manipulate data to support estimating, takeoff, and prefabrication planning.
• Train foremen and field teams on deliverables and mark‑up standards.
• Evaluate new BIM/VDC tools and propose workflow improvements.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
