Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC in Evergreen Park, IL is looking for a BIM/VDC Lead to bridge design intent and field execution. You will coordinate with project teams, detailers, and foremen to translate drawings and models into installable documentation for field crews.

The role requires strong Revit/Navisworks/Revu skills, NEC knowledge, and 7+ years in BIM/VDC or related electrical disciplines. A related degree and a collaborative, detail‑oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks.
Strong understanding of electrical construction processes and NEC code.
7+ years of BIM/VDC coordination, electrical detailing, or field leadership.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, CAD, or related field.

Responsibilities

Review issued design documents, specs and third‑party models for constructability and NEC compliance.
Manage detailed 3D Revit models for BIM coordination and perform clash detection.
Develop and maintain standardized mark‑up procedures and toolsets for shop drawings.
Export data to support estimating, takeoff, and prefabrication planning.
Train foremen and field teams on BIM deliverables and mark‑up standards.
Evaluate BIM/VDC tools and recommend workflow improvements.
