Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced BIM Specialist to manage model-based information across preconstruction, engineering, fabrication, and field installation for xPL products and programs. You will coordinate with design teams, trade subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure conformance to contract specs and effective integration of BIM models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Building Construction with 5+ years of related experience.
• Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and schedule.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Understanding of BIM processes and project coordination.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and BIM tools (Navisworks, SketchUp, Revit).
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work across organizational levels with clients and vendors.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Willingness for limited travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of program contracts, client standards, and 2D/3D deliverables.
• Gain deep product knowledge per program including materials, systems, processes.
• Maintain standards and file-based communication for modeling and teamwork.
• Disseminate scope of work for trades using BIM models.
• Oversee model content by integrators and ensure coordination.
• Review coordination models and submittals for contract conformance.
• Schedule and manage virtual coordination and submittal meetings.
• Develop reports on coordination records and constraint logs.
• Communicate BOMs, BIM parameters, and manufacturing standards.
• Oversee closeout for BIM content and turnover models to owner.
• Utilize BIM standards to support schedule and manufacturing workflows.
• Build relationships with engineers, designers, and external resources.
• Automate BIM routines to improve productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
