Job summary

SE&M Constructors, LLC seeks a BIM/VDC Coordinator to oversee and manage all BIM and VDC processes for MEP projects, ensuring seamless design integration across disciplines. The role requires coordinating federated BIM models, performing clash detection, and producing construction documents from BIM data.

You will collaborate with project teams and vendors to drive successful project delivery, maintain ACC/ BIM standards, and support field teams with model verification and coordination.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on BIM/VDC coordination in MEP for industrial, pharmaceutical, and/or heavy commercial projects.
• Proficient in Revit; strong working knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Familiar with ACC, Sysque, Plant 3D, and BIM content management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage BIM and VDC processes for assigned MEP projects, ensuring seamless design integration and coordination across disciplines.
• Develop, maintain, and coordinate federated BIM models for multi-trade coordination and clash detection from design through construction.
• Perform comprehensive clash detection using Navisworks and other tools; document and resolve conflicts prior to construction to minimize field issues.
• Produce accurate 3D models, shop drawings, fabrication details, and as-built documentation from BIM models in line with contract documents.
• Coordinate layout and design of mechanical piping, ductwork, and plumbing systems; support pre-construction layout and ongoing model support.
