Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Revenue Assurance Director based in Houston, TX. You will shape the billing strategy for Retail Energy, drive automation, strengthen controls, and partner with Finance, IT, Customer Care, Collections, and Sales to reduce revenue risk and scale the billing organization.

Leading a cross-functional team, you will set governance, develop KPIs, oversee system enhancements, and influence the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, IS, or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in billing, retail energy operations, revenue operations, or related discipline.
• Experience with VertexOne is advantageous.
• Experience leading complex operational teams and large-scale transformation.
• Experience in retail electricity and/or natural gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of operational controls, financial processes, data, technology, and performance management.
• Strategic, analytical leader with executive communication and cross-functional leadership.
• Hybrid in-office work policy eligibility.
• Willing to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for Retail Energy billing.
• Own overall billing performance including accuracy and timeliness.
• Establish governance and control framework for billing.
• Develop KPIs and executive insights for decisions.
• Drive transformation of billing operating model via automation.
• Lead billing system enhancements, testing, readiness.
• Influence the broader meter-to-cash lifecycle across functions.
• Strengthen the link between billing, customer experience, revenue protection.
• Lead resolution of significant billing risks and corrective actions.
• Build organizational capability through leadership and succession planning.
