BrandSafway Group is seeking a Billing Specialist II in Chicago to manage complex invoicing, ensure accuracy, and support collections and reporting. You will work closely with finance, sales, and customer service to maintain compliant billing records and improve processes.

The role requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of billing or AR experience, with proficiency in SAP/Oracle/NetSuite and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, financial operations, or a related role.
• Experience processing invoices, maintaining billing records, and reconciling accounts.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar financial software.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with billing and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify billing information, including pricing, discounts, taxes, and contract terms.
• Ensure all billing transactions comply with company policies, customer agreements, and financial requirements.
• Perform account reconciliations to identify, investigate, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation within financial and ERP systems.
• Assist in preparing reports related to billing activity, outstanding balances, revenue tracking, and billing trends.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve disputes professionally and efficiently.
• Partner with finance, sales, customer service, and other internal teams to resolve billing issues and support customer needs.
• Support collections efforts by providing accurate billing documentation and account information.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
• Support billing system upgrades, automation initiatives, and workflow improvements.
