Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute (typing test required).
• Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages).
• Ability to convert measurements and pricing across units.

Responsibilities

• Take orders via phone, fax, mail, and email for samples, broadloom, luxury vinyl flooring, and coordinating trim.
• Handle a high volume of incoming calls each day (up to 120-150 calls).
• Monitor orders to ensure shipping occurs within 24-48 hours.
• Handle custom color orders, strike-off requests, custom contracts, and specialty backing/cove base orders.
• Verify accounts, provide pricing and delivery information, and resolve customer issues.
• Check stock for current, dropped, and promotional products; reserve carpet for orders.
• Provide product specifications, including pattern repeat, weight, pile height, and density.
• Convert measurements and pricing across units.
• Follow up with customers regarding order status and verify order details.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure excellent customer service.
