PangeaTwo in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist to join a growing finance operations team. The permanent role handles full-cycle invoicing, accounts receivable management, and proactive customer follow-up, with quarterly bonus potential.

This position requires 1–3 years in billing or AR, experience in transportation/logistics preferred (McLeod Software is a plus), and strong Excel/Outlook skills.

Responsabilidades

• Process weekly invoicing accurately and efficiently for assigned customer accounts by monitoring workflow queues and unbilled order reports
• Verify order details, rates, purchase order numbers, manifests, and billing requirements against established agreements
• Review and index imaging documents, matching all necessary receipts and rate confirmations to corresponding orders
• Manage accounts receivable aging reports, reduce account delinquencies, and place routine collection calls
• Communicate and follow up proactively with sales and operations teams to resolve rate discrepancies and billing holds
• Handle electronic data interchange (EDI) error resolution and submit invoices through various customer website portals
• Research, prepare, and process necessary credit memos and rebills
• Assist with new customer account setups within the core accounting software platform
• Collaborate with department leadership to identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience in billing, accounts receivable, collections, or financial customer service
• Prior experience within the transportation, logistics, or trucking industry - particularly using McLeod Software is a strong plus
• Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of numerical and data-entry accuracy
• Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-first approach
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting
