Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams and insurers, ensuring accurate revenue cycle management for therapy sessions. You will post payments, review EOBs/ERAs, and monitor accounts receivable with a focus on accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, communication with internal teams and insurers, and proficiency with billing platforms. Remote opportunities exist for eligible locations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of payment posting experience preferred.
• ABA experience is a plus.
• Experience using insurance company websites/portals.
• Professional phone skills and strong attention to detail required.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and insurers is essential.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Kareo, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals and enroll in ERAs when applicable.
• Monitor AR and communicate trends to the billing team.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolution.
