Cox Automotive is seeking a Billing Specialist I to serve as a first line of contact for customers, handling inquiries via phone and email. You will process invoices, audit data, and post payments while supporting other billing-related requests.

The role involves collaborating with various departments, researching issues, and ensuring compliance with billing policies and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years of billing experience, preferably in client-facing roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong accounting, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Oracle.
• Experience collaborating with customers or vendors to resolve issues with a proven service record.

Responsibilities

• Process billing transactions, invoices, credits, and account adjustments accurately and timely.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts within billing systems.
• Review, verify, and audit billing information for accuracy and completeness.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer inquiries.
• Post payments and adjustments to customer accounts; monitor reports for exceptions.
• Assist with collections activities and partner with internal departments to resolve billing concerns.
