Job summary

Covala Group is seeking a Billing Associate to handle client payroll files, invoicing and billing inquiries in a centralized, client-focused role. You will work on data analysis and collaborate with teams to implement new clients’ billing needs.

The position is full-time with training in the NYC office, with potential for remote or hybrid work after the training period. A base focus on client service, accuracy, and timely processing is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with client/customer service in a corporate setting.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accountability and ownership of work.
• Resourcefulness and ability to consult and work with others.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time and deadlines.
• Team-oriented, friendly collaborative attitude.
• Excel fluency is required with ability to develop pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, graphs, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and sending out payroll files to clients for processing.
• Handling client invoicing and payment processing.
• Analyzing data pertaining to the billing function.
• Responsible for interacting with clients and carriers and helping with any billing-related inquiries.
• Assisting with the implementation of new clients from a billing standpoint.
