Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Tucson, AZ to support the Store Manager in sales, service, store appearance, and operations. This role will lead the team during shifts and help coach staff to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and oversee related programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, coaching and mentoring, and ensuring training is up-to-date.
• Assist in recruiting tasks: scheduling, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Manage outside purchases and special orders efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges promptly and issue refunds with correct payment methods.
• Ensure merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with schedules, approvals for deviations, and proper clock-in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, and security-related tasks.
• Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
