Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Burnet, TX seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, service, and daily operations. You will help lead the team, manage the showroom, and step in during absence or opposing shifts.

The role emphasizes coaching team members, hiring participation, ensuring timely processing of orders, returns, and invoices, and keeping the store running smoothly with strong customer focus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Sales Specialist Training is required.
• Assistant Manager Certification is required.
• RSS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and execute service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Coordinate with the store manager to ensure staffing at peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager with setting team goals, giving feedback, coaching, and training.
• Assist in recruiting tasks, interviews, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure phone calls are answered per policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub, and store-to-store orders and notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Use electronic PO ledger to manage special orders and outside purchases.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds issued correctly.
• Verify all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store, including core charges and warranties.
• Communicate Zipline messages; assign and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules and clocking in/out procedures; oversee opening/closing duties and day-end procedures.
• Maintain store building, signage/lighting, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
