Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking candidates for a role that assists the store manager and provides hands-on training for a future management position at another location. The program welcomes bilingual applicants and emphasizes growth within the company.

You will supervise store operations, participate in hiring and training, and help manage sales, appearance, and safety compliance under the district and store managers. This role focuses on leadership development and long-term advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in sales, appearance, and operations of store and team.
• Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members involved.
• Coordinate with district manager and store manager on recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members.
• Train new team members and handle performance evaluations.
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, and collaborating on selections.
• Support store manager by ensuring safety compliance and training across areas.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager; schedule weekly customer calls.
• Assist in maintaining delivery fleet and records; ensure store/HUB is neat and organized.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and discuss opportunities.
