Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a bilingual Staffing Specialist (English and Spanish) with high energy and a strong phone presence for a permanent, full-time internal role in Lexington, KY. This entry-level position combines customer service with sales responsibilities and rapid consideration for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, matching skills to client needs, and driving growth through effective service and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak and write in English and Spanish.
• High school diploma required; or equivalent work experience/education greatly preferred.
• Must have sales experience at least 1 year.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience a plus.
• Previous experience in sales, human resources, or service industry recommended.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
• Ability to travel to various locations and customer sites as needed; reliable transportation a must.
• Ability to work effectively and independently as well as in a group setting.
• Sales-minded, team-oriented and exceptionally calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superb customer service to clients and temporary associates.
• Must have at least 1 year of sales experience.
• Perform resume searches, refer to candidate pool and staffing resources to fulfill client orders in a timely manner.
• Recruit, conduct interviews and follow-up with candidates and temporary associates.
• Match employee skills to customers' hiring needs.
• Assist in developing business leads and retention of current clientele.
• Act as liaison between temporary associates and clients.
• Maximize billable hours to increase market share and branch profits.
• Perform administrative tasks supporting the mission of quality performance.
• Conduct service calls to ensure quality customer service; perform outside sales calls to obtain new business partnerships and customers.
• Present Surge Staffing products and services to customers.
• Implement and manage detailed marketing programs for sales calls and PR for the branch.
• Nurture business partnerships by providing exceptional customer service and retention strategies.
• Recruit, train and retain temporary associates; coach and counsel to ensure quality performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems or complaints of temporary associates and customers.
