Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home pediatric therapy (ages 0-21). You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and related disorders, working with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Texas licensure, and CCC-SLP; pediatric and home health experience are preferred. Bilingual Spanish skills are valued to serve diverse families in Texas.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
  • CCC-SLP credential or completion of CFY (Clinical Fellowship year).
  • License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in pediatrics required; home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
  • Assess and define speech, language, voice, feeding, and related impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan goals and train staff in therapy modalities.
  • Modify care plans to meet therapy goals and educate caregivers and staff as needed.
  • Supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants if you have 3+ years of experience.

  • Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
