Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled therapies in patients' homes or daytime facilities. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders for children up to 21 years old, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, Texas licensure, and pediatric experience; bilingual Spanish skills are preferred. Home health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• CCC-SLP (Clinical Fellowship year) completed
• Texas state licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders
• Define degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) using appropriate tests
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and instruct team in speech therapy modalities
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs
• Possibly supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience

• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral‑motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech-Language Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
