Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric services in home health and clinic settings. You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders for patients aged 0 to 21, with regular home visits and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, and Texas licensure, with pediatric and home health experience and bilingual Spanish

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• CCC-SLP completion (Clinical Fellowship year)
• Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy in patients' homes or daytime facility, 0-21 years, 2+ times per week.
• Define degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing and related impairments using appropriate testing.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and advise on therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training and materials.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
