Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric in-home therapy and office-based services for ages 0-21, with collaboration from a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and feeding disorders, using appropriate tests, and prepare diagnostic reports. Experience in pediatrics and Spanish bilingual abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• CCC-SLP Clinical Fellowship completed.
• Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities, 0-21 years old, at least two times per week per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, or fluency impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; plan and evaluate goals; advise and instruct team in speech therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training, materials, and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP assistants if three+ years of experience.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral‑motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech-Language Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
