Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatrics-focused team. You will deliver skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities, following physician orders, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet each child’s goals.

Must be bilingual English/Spanish and hold a Texas SLPA license; 6 months of full-time clinical experience in pediatrics, and home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides services in the patient’s home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education and networking.
• Enhances patient outcomes by ownership of requests and adding value.

Requirements

• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
