Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide skilled therapy services to pediatric patients in home or daytime clinical settings. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and current Texas SLPA licensure, with 6 months of full-time clinical experience preferred.

Experience in pediatrics and home health is desirable. The position offers full-time benefits, including medical/dental/vision, CEU reimbursement, and 401K

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions per physician orders.
• Home-based or daytime-facility delivery of services.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas guidelines.
• Collaborates with disciplines to plan and address patient goals.
• Plans care to meet goals of therapy interventions.
• Maintains knowledge through education, reading, and professional involvement.
• Seeks opportunities to enhance therapy value and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities:

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
