Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a bilingual SLPA to join our pediatric-focused team. You will provide speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities under physician orders, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to reach each child’s goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas SLPA license, has at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience in pediatrics, and prefers home health settings.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Skills
