M&T Bank is seeking a branch associate focused on delivering exceptional customer service in our Clinton, MD branch. The role supports teller operations, sales, and daily branch activities to meet customer needs and promote digital banking solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced branch environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ year in retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales.
• Ability to fluently communicate in English and a second language; assessment will determine proficiency.
• Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Well-organized with time management and prioritization capabilities.
• Proficiency with internet-based technology.

Responsabilités

• Educate customers and explain features and benefits of Consumer and Business Banking solutions; make recommendations based on customer needs.
• Engage customers to bank with us and promote use of digital capabilities in interactions.
• Explain the high-level criteria used to decide loan applications.
• Complete servicing duties for Consumer and Business Banking relationships and identify opportunities for additional banking needs.
• Follow the Bank's sales process and provide customer-focused guidance.
• Proactively reach out to customers to retain and expand relationships.
• Adhere to compliance/operational risk controls and AML/KYC processes; escalate suspected fraud.
• Assist with new accounts or loan origination and document interactions and appointments.
