Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Brownsville is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants with sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift management in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels in the retail showroom with adherence to programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders timely and contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using electronic ledger.
• Process customer returns and exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returns.
• Invoice all merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages, delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day end procedures, manage deposits, security, and deliveries.
• All other duties as assigned.
