Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist in Columbia, SC to support the Store Manager and Assistants with sales, service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift management in the absence of leadership. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve diverse customers.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair.
• ASE Certification recommended.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and oversee program execution.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds and stage merchandise appropriately.
• Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and manage Image Maker tasks.
• Ensure adherence to the posted work schedule and proper clocking in/out.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties and nightly money/security procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
