Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants in sales, service, store appearance and operations. This role may assume shift management in the absence of store leadership and encourages bilingual candidates.

The position emphasizes leading a team, processing orders, handling returns, administering daily financial procedures, and ensuring excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure team execution of customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges friendly and accurately, issue refunds with correct methods.
• Invoicing of all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules and proper clocking in/out.
• Complete all opening/closing duties, day end procedures, money/deposits, and security procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
