Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Required: Strong communication skills.
• Required: Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Desired: Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Desired: Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure adherence to customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges promptly and accurately using approved payment methods.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and manage core charges/warranties.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure staff schedule adherence and proper clocking in/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, money security, bank deposits, and security actions.
• All other duties as assigned.
