American Vision Partners seeks a Bilingual Scheduling Specialist to be the first contact for patients, providers, and team members. A patient-first approach guides scheduling, with emphasis on compassionate, clear communication and efficient appointment coordination.

The role supports inbound calls, appointment logistics, and collaboration with clinics to ensure high-quality patient experiences across multiple eye-care centers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Experience navigating medical office software; NextGen experience a plus.
• Knowledge of medical insurance is highly desirable.
• Detail oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with empathy and active listening.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• In a call center environment, service patient needs while actively accepting inbound calls with a focus on customer service.
• Use professional communication etiquette, servicing patient needs based on appointment availability and nearest location.
• Meet monthly goals based on metrics and requirements.
• Coordinate with internal partners and clinics to support patient needs.
• Be open to learning new skills to take on various roles as needed by the business.
