Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role may manage the store in the manager’s absence and lead the team in servicing customers.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; strong focus on staffing, coaching, recruiting, and efficient process execution across the store operations.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure staff engagement with service programs.
• Ensure staffing at the sales counter during peak hours and assist in setting team goals and coaching.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and selecting qualified team members with management.
• Ensure calls and store communications follow company policy and process orders timely.
• Manage buy online/ship to store and transfers, contacting customers on shipment arrivals.
• Oversee outside purchases and returns processing to maintain accuracy.
• Invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to schedules and proper clocking in/out by team members.
• Perform opening/closing duties, including money handling, deposits, and security checks.
• Assist in maintaining store facilities and vehicles; perform other duties as assigned.
