Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will lead the team in servicing customers and temporarily manage the store in the manager’s absence.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Prior certifications and leadership capability are preferred, with responsibilities spanning staffing, training, and ensuring policy compliance to maintain high customer service levels.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training.
• Required: Assistant Manager Certification.
• Required: RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom, executing service programs.
• Assist the store manager with staff scheduling, coaching, and training alignment.
• Assist in hiring processes by recruiting tasks, interviews, and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure calls are answered per company policy and manage store communications.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub, and store-to-store transfers promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Ensure efficient handling of special orders and outside purchases per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges with accurate refunds and proper merchandising placement.
• Invoicing of all merchandise including cores and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform all opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures and secure money/deposits.
• Maintain the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, and delivery vehicles.
