Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will also take on shift management in the absence of leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification (RSS).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom including program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed promptly with customer contact upon shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using electronic ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returns appropriately.
• Ensure all merchandise including core charges and warranties are invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules; approve deviations with management and clocking in/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day end procedures, and money/deposit security per policy; prepare bank deposits.
• Check/secure/lock delivery vehicles and secure premises.
