Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will also take on shift management responsibilities when needed.

The position emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and a focus on customer satisfaction, with bilingual options encouraged and room for growth within a stable retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom including programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently according to procedure.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges; issue refunds with correct payment methods.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members clock in/out per policy and adhere to posted work schedules; manage opening/closing duties and day-end procedures.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, verify/seure money deposits, prepare bank deposits, and ensure security procedures are followed.
• All other duties as assigned.
