Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This position may assume shift management in the absence of leadership.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and strong communication skills are essential. Automotive knowledge and RSS/ASE certifications are a plus, with opportunities for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience is preferred, automotive parts a bonus.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge is desirable.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish) is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise showroom customer service levels and program execution (related sales, Hi5, etc.).
• Ensure telephone is answered per company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub transfers, and add orders promptly; inform customers of shipments.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process returns, issue refunds, and stage returns correctly.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to schedule, approvals for deviations, and proper clock-ins/outs.
• Perform opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, and secure money/deposits.
• All other duties as assigned.
