Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Mount Pleasant, IA is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations.

You may assume shift management in the absence of management, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. The role includes supervising showroom service, processing orders, returns, and coordinating safety and opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure adherence to service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, etc.).
• Ensure calls are answered per policy and orders are processed efficiently (buy online/ship to store, transfers, DC add orders).
• Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee opening/closing duties, money handling, security, and delivery vehicle checks.
• Ensure merchandising tasks and schedules are followed by team members.
