Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Grinnell, IA is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations, with shift management duties in the absence of store leadership.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure adherence to service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers and DC add orders promptly.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges and issue refunds correctly.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before it leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Monitor work schedule and clock-in/out compliance.
• Perform store opening/closing duties including day-end procedures and deposits.
